OUR PROGRAMMES

Here at WiHN we run two programmes throughout the year to enrich the lives of our members.

The WiHN Mentoring Programme

Matching women mentees in their first year of a health or science related degree with experienced women mentors across numerous health and science specialties. Launched in 2018 at the University of Auckland, the programme provides pastoral guidance and information sharing for young women, while enabling them to meet other first year students who are undergoing a similar experience.

The WiHN Events Programme

Offering a variety of workshops, guest speaker events, and networking opportunities. The events cover a range of topics rooted in women, leadership and health. The knowledge, skills and networks developed from these events aim to equip wahine with the experience and support needed to succeed personally and in a health related degree and career.

MEMBERS

While WiHN is still a relatively young non-profit, our membership has been increasing steadily. This includes not only our mentees, mentors, and other fellow health-students, but individuals from non-health-related disciplines such as science, law, and business.
