✨ Wānanga 2026 ✨

On 14 March, the Otago Mentoring Programme began the year with its first official event, Wānanga, held at the Hunter Centre. The event brought together around 80 mentors and mentees, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for networking.

For many participants, this was their first time meeting their mentoring partner in person. The day included several activities designed to help pairs connect and build relationships within the wider WiHN community. These included an icebreaker session, bingo, afternoon and an exciting Amazing Race around the university campus.

We are very grateful to our sponsors, MFAS and adjo, whose support enabled us to offer prizes and helped make the day a success. Thank you as well to everyone who attended for bringing such positive energy and for getting involved throughout the day. We would also like to recognise the effort of our executive team in organising the event. It was great to see new members engaging with the network, and we are looking forward to the year ahead.
